Currently the boat and trailer are in Door County, WI and I'm in Chicago. Any information someone might have about the trailer would be great. This is my first boat (1976 Aquasport 22-2 Family Fisherman) and trailer. What should I look for when inspecting the rollers and supports to determine what parts need replacement there? Should I use grade 5 or grade 8 hardware? (Will be dunked only in fresh water) What would be the proper parts for master cylinder, lines, brake assemblies? What size trailer tires equate to 185 75r14?Īssuming the axles and spindles are ok, can I replace with pre packed hub assemblies? What is the correct size? Given that Calkins is no longer in existence: I have not been able to locate any information about specs or replacement part numbers. The T could be a number, it's hard to tell, as the plate is well worn.
It is a Calkins T21-5090 from the late '70's or early '80's (green paint).
I'm new here and hoping some of you more experienced folks can answer some questions I have about a trailer I'm inheriting.
